The spirit of patriotism came alive at Shalom Presidency School - Galaxy Wing on 13 August 2026, through Little Citizens, Big Dreams, a special Independence Day Show & Tell activity designed to help our young learners understand the joy and responsibility of being Indian citizens.

The activity provided children with a joyful platform to express their thoughts, share their dreams and speak confidently about the India they envision. Through simple, age-appropriate conversations, the young learners explored the values of patriotism, responsibility, kindness and love for their nation.

The children enthusiastically spoke about meaningful actions they could practise in their everyday lives-keeping their surroundings clean, saving water, planting trees, helping others, respecting elders and spreading kindness. Their innocent yet thoughtful responses reflected a beautiful understanding of how small actions can contribute to building a cleaner, greener, kinder and stronger India.

Beyond celebrating Independence Day, the Show & Tell activity also nurtured essential early-years skills such as communication, confidence, vocabulary, listening and self-expression. It encouraged every child to find their voice and participate with enthusiasm.

The activity was a heartwarming celebration of young minds, reminding us that the dreams of today’s little citizens can shape the India of tomorrow. With confidence in their voices and dreams in their hearts, our young Shalomites proudly celebrated the spirit of freedom and responsible citizenship.
